The game mechanics have undergone a number of innovations, but by and large they have remained the same. We, on behalf of the protagonist, will have to confront the leading instigators of the outbreak of the Third World War in 2016 (in an alternative game universe). Events take place in our time, and affect the territories of states such as the United States of America, India, Czech Republic, France, Somalia, Germany, Great Britain and the United Arab Emirates. The game's narrative is divided into three large acts, with a total of 17 main missions divided between these acts.

The project was released in mid-autumn 2011. The highly renowned virtual entertainment studio Infinity Ward has been developing and publishing this game with the direct support of its colleagues.
